God is good all the time

It has been a while since I wrote on here. I am hoping to change that and start writing more often I want to share some personal experiences and what God is doing in my life and through my life.

Tonight was a good night with the youth they had fun and seemed to enjoy having a place to go and have some fun. This is what I love to see youth having fun and enjoying each others fellowship. Teenagers will be teenagers and push the limits some or act out some but that’s why we are here as adults and Christian leaders to help show them the way.  Not only to be safe but to show them the Love of Christ that He loves them and wants to be a part of their life.

As I start this new journey in this new year I want to show others the love, compassion, grace and mercy that He has shown me.  Love goes a long way and can help us forgive a multitude of sins or in some cases help us see things through the eyes of others. Why not show someone love like Jesus showed and let us put away our petty bickering. “for while we where yet sinners Christ died for us” that’s what the Bible says we didn’t deserve His love but yet he showed it to us. How much more do we need to show Christ love toward other in a hurting world today. You will be amazed at the results that you get.

In today’s world we see so many frauds that are out for only themselves or maybe just another fix. Often on the side of the road we see those Please help me signs, and we immediately judge them, and say “oh they just want to go get their beer or cigarettes or something” . I do believe that we should use some common sense because not everyone is truly in need, but maybe we should just stop and pray for them and when you do take the time maybe the Holy Spirit will lead you to do something, or maybe not. You see we don’t always know what others are going through and sometimes we can be the hand of Jesus in their lives.  This make me thing of Colossians 3:9-13

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Showing compassion and forgiving are two hard things to do but God asks us to do that and so we should. Is there someone in your life that you could show compassion to or forgive?

I’m sure we all have been show grace or mercy at one time or another where it be from someone for something we did or from the law for breaking it. The most common thing that I can think of is when people speed often they are are given mercy and just given a warning.  This ties in with the compassion to me and makes me think could the next time some one wrongs us could we show them grace or mercy instead of angry, hatred or wrath? Remember when Jesus was about to die on the cross and He said “forgive them Father for they know not what they do”.  He showed us mercy and grace and we didn’t deserve it. Why not show someone else some mercy and grace even if they wrong you.

I pray that this will reach someone that needs it, may the Lord bless you and keep you.
