On the road again

On the road again, Monday I start my travels back across the US again, I will be heading to the East Coast once again, but this time the weather will be nice. The picture above is the vehicle I will be driving. Our first stop will be in Winslow Arizona Well I began this blog before we left California but am currently done with the first week and in Illinois with my new partner Adam. God has been gracious and good to us both. We have had some interesting times in our travels but overall the trip has been smooth. Our trip started out kind of rough with myself losing my contacts in the Ocean over the weekend then the day that I leave I broke my glasses. On top of that Adam lost his wallet which had his license and debit card. But when we got our schedule we found that we would be going close to where he lives at the end of the week so we would be able to get his stuff taken care of. Today he was able to get a new license and debit card. Also I was able to get my glasses temporarily fixed and when I get paid will get new contacts. On the road we have made great time although the drives are long but we keep ourselves entertained. Thank you to all of you that have kept me in your prayers us in your prayers we have definitely felt them. We did our first show in Winslow, Arizona and it went great; the second show was in Wilthill, Nebraska on the Omaha Reservation. I have gone onto other reservations and know that when you deal with native American people they often are more shy and drawn back because to them you are a stranger. They responded pretty well to the show and were happy to have us come and share with them. I am blessed to have this opportunity once again this year and want to make the most of it. I hope that by me going into the schools across the US that I can give these kids hope and make them realize there are people who care about them and that they can make a difference in someone’s life. I also am looking for opportunities to share the gospel with people as I go along this journey. We are called to be the salt and the light to this world and that is what I intend to do. I have learned that if we are just open to the leading of the Holy Spirit we can be used by God in amazing ways. I think of Proverbs 3:5 which says to trust in the Lord. I have seen that by trusting in the Lord that the rewards are great. It is a hard thing to do but well worth it in the end. He brings happiness and joy that you can get nowhere else, the peace that you feel when you are in His will is so amazing. I have to remind myself that without Him I would not be where I am today. It is Him that has given me this opportunity to be a witness to all these students, not only that but I realized just how blessed I am to have met some pretty awesome people along the way. My challenge today is to count your blessing and trust God in everything you do. Remember I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Until next time have a great day.
